Carers Support Group
In light of the significant and rapidly increasing cases of covid-19 and, in line with Welsh Government guidance, we have reviewed the way in which we deliver some of our support services.
Carers Trust Crossroads West Wales have a responsibility to help minimise the risks associated with coronavirus infection to protect our employees, carers and the people that carers look after. These are frequently adults who are clinically extremely vulnerable to developing serious illness if they are exposed to coronavirus because they may have a particular serious underlying health condition.
We have a duty to continue to help keep the virus under control and, as such, we will be following Welsh Government Guidance which currently states that:
- From 20 December people must work from home where reasonably practicable for them to do so. Employers must allow or require their employees to work from home unless there is a clear business or well-being need that would make working from home impractical, in line with their duties to take reasonable measures.
- From 27 December 2021, we are advising that people should reduce the number of people they meet.
- Businesses, employers, and other organisations have a duty to protect their employees and customers while on their premises and when taking part in activities organised by their organisation.
In line with the above guidance, we have taken the decision to suspend our monthly face-to-face Carers Support Groups during January and February. We will replace the group meetings with an online support group meeting in January and February – please contact your Outreach Worker or the Carers Information Service on 0300 0200 002 for further details.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and we do hope that you will be able to join our online group meeting. Please contact your Outreach Worker or our Carers Information Service if you would like any assistance to join online.
We will continue to review how we deliver our services in line with Welsh Government guidance and will endeavour to keep you informed of any changes.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
